It goes on and on. As soon as the media finally quit playing up the Clinton/Obama rift, they started talking about the set at the stadium. And they talk about Obama as "all talk" despite that the convention has been full of policy statements and contrasts with the lack of change that McCain offers in 2008. Today on Rush Limbaugh, things went one step further, and it was actually reassuring.
On the radio today, Limbaugh told his listeners to put a sign on the TV that says "I have no experience and nothing to offer" up so that they'll remember the "truth" while listening to Obama. Of course, this reveals the truth - even Limbaugh is afraid that his ditto-heads will be swayed by the power of Obama's presence and policies.
And so Limbaugh like so many of the talking heads on TV have framed tonight with a pre-emptive Ad Hominem attack. He has primed the pump of dismissiveness, encouraging his listeners to not really listen to Obama. And why? Because he, and those like him on TV, is afraid.
Take heart Democrats, when even those thick-headed as Limbaugh are afraid, something good is happening. We're winning, and we will win.
Yes we can!
